THE FAMILY OF STEPHEN KESHI TO CARRY OUT AUTOPSY TO ASCERTAIN THE CAUSE OF DEATH
A member of Keshi family, Rickey Aburime had said that the family will carry out autopsy to
ascertain the cause of death on Stephen Keshi. Speaking further he debunked media report that Stephen died due to cardiac arrest. He further said that he was having a meeting in Benin city with friends when he suddenly started feeling ill. In less than 15 minutes he was rushed to a where he was confirmed dead on arrival (DOD).
Though he was confirmed dead, the doctors could not write any report or present any death certificate due to the fact that he wasn't a patient of the Hospital before his death, hence the need for an autopsy.
Rickey said that the doctors advised the family to bring police to inspect the body and issue a report.
He said that he is about to take the body to Stella Obasanjo Hospital pending the autopsy report and till then there is no official statement as to the cause of death by the family he concluded.
